Experimental Studies on the Hematopoietic Effects of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu


Abstract
In order to investigate the hematopoietic effects of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu the various experimental studies such as the proliferous effects of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu on murine bone marrow cells and SCF, GM-CSF, EPO, IL-4, IL-6, c-kit, EPO-R, TPO, c-mpl, EKLF, GATA-1 gene expression of bone marrow cells in BALB/c mice were accomplished.
The results were obtained as follows:
1. The water extracts of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu increased the proliferation of bone marrow cells as compared with control group.
2. Murine bone marrow cells were activated by treatment of the water extracts of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu, EPO and IL-3 as compared with EPO and IL-3 treated group.
3. The water extracts of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu effectively differentiated into the cluster BFU-E, CFU-GEMM as compared with control group in the early stage.
4. After CTX treatment, the SCF, GM-CSF, EPO, IL-6 gene expression of murine bone marrow cells were increased by the CPCE treatment group as compared with control group.
according to the above results, Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu could promote to differentiate into CFU-GEMM and BFU-E. Above results indicated that increasing of SCF, EPO, GM-CSF, IL-6 gene expression by water extracts of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu promote to differentiate the stem cell in the early stage. Therefore, it was thought that Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu could have meaningful hematopoietic effects so we should research more deeply about the hematopoietic mechanism of Cervi Pantotrichum Cornu.
